Awareness
“All turmoil comes from the deep, nagging feeling that we should be different from what we are. If we could totally accept who and what we are (changing each instant), we would find ourselves moving in the silent immenseness of the Now.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Read — the readings that opened the day
“All turmoil comes from the deep, nagging feeling that we should be different from what we are. If we could totally accept who and what we are (changing each instant), we would find ourselves moving in the silent immenseness of the Now.”
Bill W.
“My friend had emphasized the absolute necessity of demonstrating these principles in all my affairs. Particularly was it imperative to work with others as he had worked with me. Faith without works was dead, he said. And how appallingly true for the alcoholic! For if an alcoholic failed to perfect and enlarge his spiritual life through work and self-sacrifice for others, he could not survive the certain trials and low spots ahead. If he did not work, he would surely drink again, and if he drank, he would surely die. Then faith would be dead indeed. With us it is just like that.”
Meditation for the Day “Keep as close as you can to the Higher Power. Try to think, act, and live as though you were always in God's presence. Keeping close to a Power greater than yourself is the solution to most of the earth's problems. Try to practice the presence of God in the things you think and do. That is the secret of personal power. It is the thing which influences the lives of others for good. Abide in the Lord and rejoice in His love. Keep close to the Divine Spirit in the universe. Keep God close behind your thoughts. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may keep close to the Mind of God. I pray that I may live with Him in my heart and mind.”
