Sitting outside at the Valley Alano Club on 56th St. yesterday morning, birds were chirping and a family of quails ran across the sand! Looking up at the mountains, I took a few breaths and said Thank You, and Chad L. walked up. Just back from an award trip to Bali, we caught up on his life. Turning it over opened new doors to a life we couldn’t have imagined or planned on our own. We couldn't tell when all the pieces were scattered about, but what a beautiful jigsaw puzzle God puts together for us, one piece at a time!
Meeting up later with Fernando & Walt at Select Auto Body, we looked at my ’67 Vette; body off frame, front fenders cut off waiting for a new fiberglass front end, it’s a long restoration process after the wreck in January. Just like when I was a newcomer, my life wrecked and in disarray, I was forced to trust the process. You promised me it will all come together, one step at a time. I sensed Dad’s spirit, walking in the assembly plant watching new Camaros coming off the line. “Trust the process, just do the work” rang in my mind; just like 12 steps, restoration is ahead!
Then, at the Zoom meeting, men from Pinetop, Brent from Thailand, Kirk from Maui, and Chuck from Vancouver shared how the process continues to work building new life each day! With gratitude for 12 Steps & fellowship, we gave thanks for new power and a faith that works.
Afterwards, with Gail, we made a spicy chicken & rice dish and sat down for dinner at 8pm. and watched a movie.
Thanks for a new life one day at a time; for a restoration process, fellowship and tools to help me never lose my faith in You!
