A Wave

April 23, 2026

“There IS a Power greater than ourselves waiting to work in our lives.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Thought for the Day

Hazelden Foundation

“During active addiction, we often turned inward, pretending everything was okay. We acted as if we needed no one - mainly because we were afraid or didn’t know how to be vulnerable. Surrounded by darkness inside and out, we trusted no one. Recovery teaches us to trust in the "light," even when we can't see it. As we begin to see the “light” in others, we can begin to come out of our own darkness.” Prayer for the Day God, help me continue to turn to You when I can't see. Show me the “Light” and guidance I cannot give myself and give me hope to move forward.”

Excerpt adapted From God Calling

A.J. Russell

“Remember that rarely to the human heart do I speak in words. Man will see Me in My works done through you. Meet Me in the atmosphere of Love and self-effacement. Do not feel that you must speak.”

Meditation for the Day

Hazelden Foundation

“Cooperation with God is the great necessity for our lives. All else follows naturally. Cooperation with God is the result of our consciousness of His presence. Guidance is bound to come to us as we live more and more with God, as our consciousness becomes more and more attuned to the great Consciousness of the universe. We must have many quiet times when we do not so much ask to be shown and led by God, as to feel and realize His presence. New spiritual growth comes naturally from cooperation with God. Prayer for the Day I pray that God may supply me with strength & show me the direction in which He wants me to grow. I pray that these things may come naturally from my cooperation with Him.”
