Yesterday, it was just too cold to go join Dave and Bo for golf; I’m a Valley boy! At the morning meeting, anonymous characters spoke about the topic of resentment being the number one offender. Everyone had a story of walking through this feeling; some were still in the middle, but working to apply the solution rather than drug, drink or bar fight! We left with hope, a dweller on the threshold of a new day.
I met a friend at Pinetop Coffee House and got to catch up on our journeys so far. A real Gift!
At the Noon mtg. at Lunch Bunch, a van from Change Point brought newcomers, many in a deep funk, not yet exposed to the solution. It was a great reminder of the journey of faith in working the 12 Steps and the freedom it’s delivered. They are dwellers on the threshold.
I looked at the clock and called into the NY Men’s Gratitude Mtg. and found out I was an hour late! But just in time to say hello and give thanks and some encouragement to someone who might be standing at the doorway to The Light.
At the meeting at St. Mary’s, I went to meet a friend to share our experience, strength and hope with our emotional and spiritual journey to freedom. It was a small group, but wisdom from teachers from White River and tales of selfless efforts to be of service was most inspiring.
At the cabin, making pasta & salmon in the kitchen, Gail walked in and we sat down and caught up on our day. Instead of reacting to the call of the wild and heading for the bar or Vegas, we sat on the couch and had a great night.
Thank you. Once again, today I’m a dweller on the threshold! Let’s go!
