A Wave

“What’s true, what’s false???”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Wake Up and Laugh!

Seon Master Daehaeng

Without faith, we can’t let go. Entrusting everything is letting go of everything. The phrase ‘you must die to live!’ means unconditionally releasing everything, without any excuses or reasons, including both what you understand and what you don’t understand. When things go well, release them with gratitude. When things don’t go well, release them in faith. Because nothing is fixed, everything can change. Old habits melt down, our true Self will be revealed, and every kind of hindrance will surrender to us!

Saying Yes to Love

Richard Rohr

The uncovering of an indwelling Presence—often described as the Holy Spirit, or God, is our deepest, truest self. God is the very ground of our Being. Some mystics have described this Presence as ‘closer to me than I am to myself’ or ‘more me than I am myself.’ Many of us would also describe this as the True Self, as Thomas Merton did. Yet it must be awakened and chosen. The Holy Spirit is totally given and given equally to all, but must be consciously received, too. The Presence needs to be recognized, honored, and drawn upon to become a living Presence within us.

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Hazelden Foundation

Give something to those who are having trouble, to those whose thoughts are confused, something of your sympathy, your prayers, your time, your love, your thought, your self. Then give of your own confidence, as you have had it given to you by the grace of God. Give of yourself, and of your loving sympathy. Give your best to those who need it and will accept it. Give according to need. Remember that giving of advice can never take the place of giving of yourself. Prayer for the Day I pray that as I have received, so may I give. I pray that I may have the right answer to those who are confused.
