A Wave

November 12, 2025

“Yesterday, sitting at Walt and June’s with Fernando, having coffee talking, once again the clock chimed on the hour, reminding us of the beauty in the Universe. How did I get here, how has my life worked out?”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Touchstones: A Book of Daily Meditations

Hazelden Foundation

The process of finding spiritual enlightenment, of becoming a real person requires slow growth over time. Our program in recovery says, ‘Look to this day.’ It is a most difficult path to learn, but we only take it in small steps. There are no instant fixes for any of us. Yet as we surrender to the reality of life, we are given the gift of true humanity. We are becoming real; we love and enjoy the pleasure of connecting with others. Today, I give thanks for being in the process of recovery. Help me give up my drive to manage and control it.

Morning Thoughts

Daily Reflections

For many years I pondered over God’s will for me, believing that perhaps a great destiny had been ordained for my life. After all, having been born into a specific faith, hadn’t I been told early that I was ‘chosen’? It slowly occurred to me that, YES, I‘ve had a spiritual awakening! It’s an ongoing process; I need to practice the 12 Steps to the best of my ability. It’s in the practice that guides me along each day in the context of the day at hand.

Meditation for the Day

Twenty Four Hours a Day

We must admit our helplessness before God will hear our plea for His help. However, once that need is recognized, our prayer is heard above all the music of heaven. It is not theological arguments that solve the problems of the questing soul, but the sincere cry of that soul to God for strength, and the certainty of that soul that our cry will be heard and answered.
