Healing Our Way Home: Ancestral Wisdom for Joy and Liberation

Buddhist psychology teaches that our minds are organic. From a neuroscience perspective, our brains have plasticity. Whatever we cultivate in our mind is what grows. Our evolutionary tendency is to be more focused on what’s painful and negative out of a need for survival to avoid danger. Yet often our tendency to manage means that all of the beautiful and incredible things that are part of human life are blocked out. Therefore, our need for growth and spiritual nourishment don’t get attended to. Today, as I uncover doubts, fears and resentments, help me to see and embrace all of Your Beauty, Grace, Love and Mysterious Power growing deep inside me.

365 Science of Mind

Ernest Holmes

For it is only when we forgive everyone that we may feel certain that the weight of condemnation is lifted from our own consciousness. As we refuse to carry the negations of yesterday into the positive atmosphere of today, our world is made new in our experience. There is no animosity, no criticism, no hatred. Today I loose all condemnation; that I be judged only by the Law of Good. Nothing shall oppose this blessing of goodness, or denies Your Divine givingness. Today, I shall behold Your face of love, of beauty, and of peace in everyone I meet; that every right motive has the blessing of the Spirit.

Daily Reflections

My spiritual growth is with God as I understand Him. It is only there that I find my true inner self. Daily meditation and prayer strengthen and renew my source of well-being. I then receive the openness to accept all that He has to offer. With God I have the reassurance that my journey will be as He wants for me, and for that I am most grateful to have God in my life.
