A Wave

October 15, 2025

“Letting go is a never ending journey.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Read — the readings that opened the day

As Bill Sees It (Grapevine, June 1961)

AA World Services, Inc.

“Day by day, we try to move a little toward God’s perfection. So we need not be consumed by maudlin guilt for failure to achieve His likeness and image by Thursday next. Progress is our aim, and His perfection is the beacon, light-years away, that draws us on.”

Anam Cara

John O’Donahue

“Meister Eckhart radically revises the whole notion of spiritual programs. He says that there is no such thing as a spiritual journey. If a little shocking, this is refreshing. The wisdom here is so consoling. You do not have to go away outside yourself to come into real conversation with your soul and with the mysteries of the spiritual world. The eternal is at home—within you.”

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Hazelden Foundation

Meditation for the Day “There is only one-way to get full satisfaction from life, and that is to live the way you believe God wants you to live. Live with God in that secret place of the spirit and you will have a feeling of being on the right road. You will have a deep sense of satisfaction. The world will have meaning, you will have a place in the world, and work to do that counts in the eternal order of things. Many things will work for you and with you, as long as you feel you are on God's side. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may have a sense of the eternal value of the work I do. I pray that I may not only work for now, but also for eternity.”
