A Wave

July 25, 2025

“At my bottom, in debt, with 2 young boys 2 and 4, there was no time.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

A Deep Breath of Life

Alan Cohen

“Hurry is often motivated by fear and anxiety; we worry that we will be late, or not have enough time to do what we need to do. The principle of abundance applies not only to money or things; we can also apply abundance to time. Help me to affirm that I live in an abundant universe, and that everything is unfolding to a Perfect plan. I begin to trust that I will have enough time to do what I need to do; to function in consciousness of Your peace & open to Your miracles. Today, I breathe in Your presence; I will relax & move through my day with a sense of ease and joy, knowing good things are unfolding.”

Mishkan T’filah

Adapted from Mishkan T’filah

“Grant us, O God, that we relax in peace, and raise us up, to life renewed. Spread over us the shelter of Your peace. Guide us with Your good counsel; for Your Name’s sake, be our help. Shield and shelter us beneath the shadow of Your wings. Defend us against pride, shame, sense of lack and self-pity. Distance us from wrongdoing. God, watch over us, and deliver us. For You, God, are gracious and merciful. Guard our going and coming, to life and peace evermore.”

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Hazelden Foundation

“Help me to know that there has been Something greater than myself woven throughout my entire life. Something bigger than our own plan has been present. Make good my trust, and to grow to believe that God has good things in store. Help me act as God guides me, and leave all results to Him, to not hold back, but go all out for Love and a better life. I pray that I may continue to put my life in trust in God. I pray I may no longer feel alone, knowing that Something greater than me has a perfect plan for my life.”
