A Wave

June 21, 2025

“Early in my sobriety, I had so much static bouncing around in my head.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Planting the Seeds of Happy Relationships

Kimberly Brown

“Happiness isn't dependent on everything in our lives being perfect. So how do we actually let go of our attachment to perfection? Often we find it’s our expectations that are the seeds to unhappiness & disappointment. In the reality of life, everyone is working on some inner conflict, and their reactions to them, to cope and to do the best they can. In meditation, we can grow healthy, happy relationships where our guiding principle is “I wish for you to be happy;” allowing the principle of Live and Let Live, and Let Go, Let God work, one situation, one day at a time.”

Joy and Resilience

Richard Rohr

“Joy is an essential need for the thriving of the human spirit. Without it, we’re diminished; often left with the festering of our wounds, resentments & fears. Joy is the wellspring of resistance, the water of life; an inner confidence that even though we might be bruised or battered, we’ll come out OK on the other side! Now, for a moment, close your eyes, take a deep breath, and smile from the inside out. There, there it is. Can you feel it? That’s joy!”

Meditation for the Day / Prayer for the Day

Meditation for the Day “The only way to keep calm in this troubled world is to have a serene mind. The calm and sane mind sees spiritual things as the true realities; material things as only temporary and fleeting. That sort of mind you can never obtain by reasoning, because your reasoning powers are limited by space & time. We can never obtain that kind of mind by reading, because other minds are also limited in the same way. We can have a serene mind by an act of faith & trust. Prayer for the Day Help me offer all of my old beliefs to You, that I may have a calm and sane mind. I pray that I may look up, around, and away from myself.”
