A Wave

June 22, 2025

“It came time for me to believe. ”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

A Deep Breath of Life

Alan Cohen

“Many of us have been involved in self-analysis, therapy and processing our relationships for a long, long time. There is no end to emotional processing; some of us have been more processed than Velveeta cheese! The best therapists are those who encourage patients to live their own lives, make their own decisions, and move on to the next level. Maybe it’s time to let go? Maybe it's time to get on with life? Today, give me the simple heart of a child, that I may enter Your Kingdom; to trust life to reveal my true purpose; a life beyond the physical and material.”

In God's Care: Daily Meditations on Spirituality in Recovery

“To believe we don't need to grow anymore spiritually is a sure sign that we have more learning to do. It's kind of like boasting about how humble we are. It's one thing to take comfort from our faith; it's another to believe we have arrived. I will come to the end of my spiritual journey each night, and begin it all over again each morning.”

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

“Meditation for the Day “I would do well not to think of the Red Sea of difficulties that lies ahead. I am sure that when I come to that Red Sea, the waters will part. Help me trust that I will be given all the power I need to face and overcome many difficulties; to meet what is in store for me with courage. I open my heart to You; to believe that I will pass through that Red Sea to the promised land, the land of the spirit. I believe that when that time comes, I will be freed of all the beliefs of material things, and find true peace. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may face the future with courage: that with Your Love, I may be given strength to face the challenges in life without fear.”
