““God took the monkey off my back but the circus is still in town!””

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Extract from A New Earth

Eckhart Tolle

“Strictly speaking, you don’t think: Thinking happens to you. The voice in the head has a life of its own. Most people are at the mercy of that voice; they are possessed by thought, by the mind.”

Liber Novus (“The Red Book”)

Carl Jung

“My spirit is a spirit of torment. It tears asunder my contemplation. It would dismantle everything and rip it apart. I am still a victim of my thinking. When can I order my thinking to be quiet, so that my thoughts, those unruly hounds, will crawl to my feet? How can I ever hope to hear your voice louder, to see your face clearer, when all my thoughts howl?”

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Meditation for the Day “Molding your life means cutting and shaping your material into something good, something that can express the spiritual. All material things are the clay out of which we mold something spiritual. You must first recognize the selfishness in your desires and motives, actions and words, and then mold that selfishness until it is sublimated into a spiritual weapon for good. As the work of molding proceeds, you see more and more clearly what must be done to mold your life into something better. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may mold my life into something useful and good. I pray that I may not be discouraged by the slow progress that I make.”
