“getting sober felt like he was in the middle of nowhere.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

A Deep Breath of Life

Alan Cohen

Start the day with love, fill the day with love, and end the day with love. “How do you begin your day? Do you spend it with God, in peace, in attunement with yourself? Or do you pop out of bed and immediately dive into the busyness of the day, postponing your soul’s needs in favor of lesser activities? Take at least the first 20 minutes of your day to meditate, pray, read an inspiring book, practice yoga or tai chi, walk in the woods, sing, dance, or engage in any practice that links you to a higher power. Establish your center, and the day that follows will reflect clarity, strength, and love. Any time we spend with Spirit will be returned and multiply many times over. Whenever possible, we can renew our spirit throughout the day. Even a few seconds of closing our eyes and remembering the presence of love will make a big difference. At the end of our day, be with God before entering sleep. Today, God, be with me; hold my hand throughout the day, and never let me forget tthat You walk with me.”

365 Science of Mind

Ernest Holmes

“Since God is Love, and God is All-in-All, Love must be the underlying principle of life, and therefore in all. This Life is my life. This Love is me. It is the very essence of my being. Love heals everything, every imperfection of mind or body or environment. Love alone may overcome hatred, anger, envy, and criticism. Where Love is, there is no room for any negative emotion. Love is the Great Adjuster.”

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Meditation for the Day “I must somehow find the means of coming nearer to God. That is what really matters. I must somehow seek the true bread of life, which is communion with Him. I must grasp for the truth at the center of all worship. This central truth is all that matters. All forms of worship have this communion with God as their purpose and goal. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may meet God in quiet communion. I pray that I may partake of the soul food that God has provided for me.”
