“For some reason, I still accumulate bad juju! So I must repeat letting go.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Excerpt From The Daily Reader for Contemplative Living

Thomas Keating

God has to lead us into a place that involves a complete reversal of our carefully laid plans and letting go of our preconceived ideas. Letting go into the unknown is an essential step into the mystery of our own unconscious. Hidden there is our whole life’s history, especially the emotional wounds of our early childhood. It is only then we discover positive elements for growth in faith, hope, and Divine love. Buried deep inside us is where the Divine Indwelling is present.

Excerpt From Desert Banquet

David G.R. Keller

No person in his or her right mind will walk away from what gives and sustains one’s life. At times, God may seem distant, but it is we who have walked away, not God. Prayer and meditation opnes the Divine flow between God and each one of us. Our task today is to remain open to that flow of power & energy.

Meditation for the Day

Meditation for the Day Though it may seem a paradox, we must come to believe in spiritual forces, which we cannot see; far more than in material things which we can see if we are going to truly live. In the last analysis, the universe consists more of thought or mathematical formulas than it does of matter, as we understand it. Between one human being and another, only spiritual forces will suffice to keep them in harmony. These spiritual forces we know, because we can see their results although we cannot actually see them! A changed life - a new personality - results from the power of unseen spiritual forces working in us and through us. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may believe in the Unseen. I pray that I may be convinced by the results of the Unseen, which I do see.
