A Wave

“Yet, oftentimes for me, God seems to work too slow!”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Read — the readings that opened the day

Excerpt from Isaiah ( יְשַׁעְיָהוּ ) Chapter 61

“I have been sent to deliver these prophesies and to reveal future events only because the Lord has anointed me to herald to the humble; to bind the broken-hearted, removal of the suffering of the downtrodden, to proclaim liberty for captives and implant in them the hope of freedom, and release for the imprisoned. Alternatively, this means to awaken the imprisoned from their oppressed state.”

Excerpt From Falling into Grace

Adyashanti

“Sometimes, when the suffering gets deep enough, the whole egoic wheel stops spinning. It becomes too painful to identify with the conditioned thoughts in your head and with the painful reactions associated with them. You don’t need to struggle. Just the opposite. All you need is the willingness to question your mind’s conclusions, the willingness to just relax. Instead of trying to change now, just let it be. Let it be as it is, even though your mind may have plenty of reasons why you should resist, try it anyway.”

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Meditation for the Day “There is a force for good in the world; when you are cooperating with that force, good things happen to you. You have free will, the choice to be on the side of right or on the side of wrong. This force for good we call God's will. God has a purpose for the world, and He has a purpose for your life. He wants you to bring all your desires into oneness with His desires. He can only work through people. If you try to make God's will your will, He will guide you. You will be in the stream of goodness, carried along by everything that is right. You will be on God's side. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may try to make God's will my will. I pray that I may keep in the stream of goodness in the world.”
