“the thought ringing in my mind was the freedom I’ve been given as a result of surrendering.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

A Deep Breath of Life

Alan Cohen

Take a moment to explore your soul and unearth your secret fantasy. Your dream may be more available than you realize. Perhaps even now you could take a step in the direction of your new vision. Show me what I am to do in the name of joy. Today, I proclaim freedom to live life as if my whole life depends on it!

Who Do You Say That We Are?

Even though we are all created in God’s own image and likeness, declared to be good without caveats, we often wonder, “so why am I here on this earth at this time and place?” To help bring about God’s kingdom by recognizing and, more importantly, by affirming our co-createdness with God. It’s time for us to learn from the example of those who have suffered the most, yet have a rich, nurturing life of the spirit that enables them to persevere in their daily struggle. With humility and gratitude, we are called to contribute to the rebuilding of our lives and a community in which all are welcome.

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Meditation for the Day Remember that God is near you all the time, ready to help you if you call on Him. You cannot forever stand against God's will for you, nor can you forever upset God's plan for your life, even though God's plan may be postponed by your willfulness and deliberate choice of evil. A whole world of men and women cannot permanently change God's laws nor His purpose for the universe. The sea of life may look very rough to us, but we can believe that our Captain steers the boat on a straight course. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may try to steer a straight course. I pray that I may accept God's direction in my life's journey.
