On our hike yesterday with Gail on Timber Mesa Trail, memories from the past came to mind. Almost 9 years ago, we were doing the same hike with Josh, Kehau and Sammy. Wow, time flies. And since that time, we have all lived a lot of life. The saying “time marches on” is a universal truth; but am I marching on with love and purpose?
Reflecting on new challenges with my brother’s passing, and the beginning of a new month, it all seems like a flash. It is!
It’s all a flash of Light that begins with a Divine Spark.
We enjoyed the hike, the views, the conversation. My buddy Tres called from Maui; he had just left the 7am meeting there with my friend Kirk & others in the daily circle on the beach. The phrase “may the circle go unbroken” came to mind. But there are breaks in the circle. How to stay connected with the Divine Spark?
I received another call from someone trying to get back; I connected him with Tres to share his experience with numerous rehabs. Celebrating 19 years, Tres and his family have a new life filled with love. The HOW to march on in life in recovery is a gift. And I got to pass it on! We called our friend Lea, celebrating her 50th Anniversary at a party at her house. There was so much noise she couldn't hear us, but Love was there!!!
Then on my call with my friend Walter, he said something that stuck: Gratitude is Attitude. So Simple! Later, at the 6pm Zoom meeting, Brent from Thailand, Kirk from Maui and many others shared one message; Gratitude. A Coincidence? No, I think not. I’m a dweller on the threshold in all phases of life and death.
Thank you for continuing to keep the Divine Spark alive with purpose, fellowship and gratitude.
