“just let love be my first response to all of life.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Today's Gift

Hazelden Foundation

“Anne Frank knew a truth we sometimes lose; that all people are made in the image of God - and therefore, deep down at their core, must be good. She was able to see through the brutality and hatred to that true creation of God. We are left in awe at such faith and love. Today, we remember Anne Frank’s ability to look beneath hurtful actions and forgive. Let me forgive anyone who has hurt me and move forward in freedom of the Spirit and in Your Love.”

Daily Reflections

Alcoholics Anonymous

“Forgiveness of self and forgiveness of others are just two currents in the same river, both hindered or shut off completely by the dam of resentment. Once that dam is lifted, both currents can flow. The 12 Steps allow me to see how resentment has built up and subsequently blocked off this flow in my life. The Steps provide a way by which my resentments may – by the grace of God as I understand Him -be lifted. As a result of this solution, I can find the grace which enables me to forgive myself and others.”

A Deep Breath of Life

Alan Cohen

“The movie Field of Dreams theme, ''If you build it, they will come" is a testament to faith. But what is it that we must build? Because we are spiritual beings, we must nurture our thoughts and attitude above all else. If we think in harmony with truth, the outer forms will take care of themselves. What is the use of building a sanctuary, home, or business if it is not filled with love, light, laughter & service? Today, help me remember that allowing Your essence to shine is most important; that, in faith and with work, all else shall be provided. Make my life a temple to Your love. May everyone I meet feel safe, cared for and uplifted in my presence.”
