A Wave

“I have a magnifying mind that, on its own, stays stuck in the problem.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Read — the readings that opened the day

1

The Book of Life

Jiddu Krishnamurti

Love is the unknowable. Only when the mind is free of the known, then only there will be love. Love alone can transform insanity, confusion, and strife. No system, no theory of the left or of the right can bring peace and happiness to man. Where there is love, there is no possessiveness, no envy; there is mercy and compassion, not in theory, but in a space free of judgement. Love alone can bring about mercy and beauty, order and peace. We discover love with all its blessings when “you” cease to be.”

Meditation for the Day / Prayer for the Day

Hazelden Foundation

I must learn to accept self-discipline. I must not let myself go into resentments, hates, fears, pride, lust, or gossip. Even if the discipline keeps me separated from some people who are without discipline, nevertheless I will carry on. I may have different ways and a different standard of living than others. I may be actuated by different motives than some people. But I will try to live the way I believe God wants me to live, no matter what others say. I pray that I may be an example to others of a better way of living. I pray that I may carry on in spite of hindrances.”
