“When I got to recovery, you told me to call when I felt weird.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Bill's Story

Bill W.

No words can tell of the loneliness and despair I found in that bitter morass of self-pity. Quicksand stretched around me in all directions. I had met my match. I had been overwhelmed. Alcohol was my master.

Thought for the Day

Alan Cohen

As soon as we wake up, oftentimes we are hit with multiple thoughts on what exactly we need to manage and control. Early in the morning, we can take a few minutes to get quiet and tap into our sense of child–like innocence and wonder, rather than calculating and managing everything that’s in front of us. As we breathe, relax and let go, we discover new doors open that our intellectual manipulation could never force. In addition, as an extra bonus, we discover we have a lot more fun and freedom as we live fully each day. Just for Today I pray to return to my innocence, to see all the beauty of life that You created.

Meditation for the Day / Prayer for the Day

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

God is all around us. His spirit pervades the universe. And yet we often do not let His spirit in. We try to get along without His help, and we make a mess of our lives. We can do nothing of any value without God's help. All our human relationships depend on this. When we let God's spirit rule our lives, we learn how to get along with others and how to help them. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may let God run my life. I pray that I will never again make a mess of my life through trying to run it myself.
