A Wave

March 18, 2026

“My ego is very fragile; all kinds of things pull me in weird directions.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Bill's Story, pp. 13-14

Alcoholics Anonymous

“My friend promised when these things were done, I would enter upon a new relationship with my Creator; that I would have the elements of a way of living which answered all my problems. Belief in the power of God, plus enough willingness, honesty and humility to establish and maintain the new order of things, were the essential requirements. Simple, but not easy; a price had to be paid. It meant destruction of self-centeredness. I must turn in all things to the Father of Light who presides over us all.”

Real Independence

Daily Reflections

“I started with a little willingness to trust God and that caused my willingness to grow. Before, I depended only on myself for all my needs, and I was restricted by my incompleteness. Through my willingness to depend upon my Higher Power all my needs are provided for by Someone Who knows me better than I know myself – even the needs I may not realize or the ones yet to come. Through that dependence, I know there will never be another exactly like me. And that is real independence.”

Meditation for the Day / Prayer for the Day

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

“Persistence is necessary if you are to advance in spiritual things. By persistent prayer, with firm and simple trust, you achieve the treasures of the spirit. By persistent practice, you can eventually obtain joy, peace, assurance, security, health, happiness, and serenity. Nothing is too great, in the spiritual realm, for you to obtain, if you persistently prepare yourself for it. I pray that I may persistently carry out my spiritual exercises every day. I pray that I may strive for peace and serenity.”
