“How had we escaped the grip of the land of fantasy and broken dreams?”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Prescription for Good Health

Alan Cohen

Joy is as vital to good health as air. Every enlightened being I know is filled with happiness and laughter. If you feel distant from God, guess who moved? The first prescription, QUIET, is essential to our well-being. Each day, take time to be with yourself. Meditate, walk in the woods, or sit in a comfortable chair. God lives not on a distant cloud, but within our heart. Spirit is not playing hide-and-seek. To the contrary, God is utterly desirous of being known and enjoyed. As we sit in the quiet, we can open to His power and love. Go to the quiet inner temple regularly, and all outer activity will be more peaceful.

Meditation for the Day

Hazelden Foundation

“I know that God cannot teach anyone who is trusting in a crutch. I will throw away the crutches of alcohol and drugs and walk in God's power and spirit. I will let God's power invigorate me so that I shall indeed walk on to victory. There is never any limit to God's power. I will go step by step, one day at a time. God's will shall be revealed to me as I go forward. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may place more of my dependence on God. I pray that I may throw away my crutches and let God's power and love take its place.”
