“Each day really is a New Beginning; broken into 24 Hour segments, life truly is a gift.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

FREEDOM FROM GUILT

Daily Reflections

When I become willing to accept my own powerlessness, I begin to realize that blaming myself for all the trouble in my life can be an ego trip back into self-pity. Asking for help and listening deeply to the messages inherent in the 12 Steps & 12 Traditions make it possible to change those attitudes which delay my recovery. In the program I find true friends who love, understand, and care to help me learn the truth about myself. And in working the steps, I’m able to build a better life, free of guilt and the need for self-justification.

YES, AND……

Richard Rohr, O.F.M.

Why do I have this new desire, this new capacity to love new people, to love old people better, to enter into some kind of new love for the world? I find that even my thoughts are more immediately loving, passionate, and compassionate. Clearly, you are participating in a Love that’s being given to you. You are not creating this. You are not generating this. It is being generated through you and in you and for you. You are participating in SOMETHING larger than yourself, and you are just allowing it and trusting it for the pure gift that it is.

Meditation for the Day / Prayer for the Day

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

“I believe that in the spiritual world, as in the material world, there is no empty space. As fears and worries and resentments depart out of my life, the things of the spirit come in to take their places. Calm comes after a storm. As soon as I am rid of fears and hates and selfishness, God's love and peace and calm can come in. I pray that I may rid myself of all fears and resentments, so that peace and serenity may take their place. I pray that I may sweep my life clean of evil, so that good may come in.”
