Ride the WavesReflections by Steve L.

A Wave

January 25, 2026

“There is no other explanation than some loving Spirit in the rooms of recovery wrote out this part of the symphony called ‘my life, clean & sober’.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Excerpt From Stop Fixing Yourself

Anthony De Mello & Goewey

“It is quite impossible to be fully conscious of every note in life’s symphony. But if your spirit becomes unclogged and your senses open, you will begin to perceive things as they really are. You will begin to interact with reality, and you will be entranced by the harmonies of the universe. Then, you will understand what God is—for you will at last know what love is.”

Adapted from Reading for Transformation

Richard Rohr Daily Meditations

“The amazing wonder is that God is not bad news but, in fact, overwhelmingly comforting and good news. It’s taken many of us a long time to even consider that could be true. Outside of our own inner experience, most religion will remain merely ritualistic, moralistic, and doctrinaire. God doesn’t change, but our readiness for God changes. If we stay in recovery and tend to our inner life with God, our capacity for God will increase and deepen.”

Meditation for the Day / Prayer for the Day

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

“I believe that complete surrender of my life to God is the foundation of serenity. God has prepared for us many mansions. I do not look upon that promise as referring only to the afterlife. I do not look upon this life as something to be struggled through to get the rewards of the next life. I believe that the Kingdom of God is within us, and we can enjoy ‘eternal life’ here and now. I pray that I may try to do God's will. I pray that such understanding, insight, and vision shall be mine as shall make my life eternal, here and now.”
