Ride the WavesReflections by Steve L.

A Wave

January 17, 2026 · albania

“The 12 Steps have been a pathway “Into The Mystic,” a song I've found to be a parable for a new life;”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Easy Does It: A Book of Daily 12 Step Meditations

Anonymous

“There is life before death. Those of us who once cried out, ‘nobody cares’ have found loving, caring friends who share our problems, and help us find answers to guide us daily through wonderful adventures in living. *I give thanks to have been given the chance to live two lives: the cruel one, based on self-reliance, and a second one, rich with blessings, love and fellowship. *Today, I pray that nothing tempts me to return to my old life.”

Breathing Under Water

Richard Rohr

“Only the survivors of a shipwreck know the full terror of the passage, the arms that held them through it all, and the Power that helped them overcome all of the obstacles. All they can do is thank God they made it through. For all others, it is mere speculation, salvation theories, and theology. Those who have passed over are now inside a much Bigger Picture. Something better has been revealed—and given to them — *in the very process of passing over, which they alone know from being on the other side.”

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Hazelden Foundation

Meditation for the Day “With God's help, I will build a protective screen around myself, which will keep out all evil thoughts. I will fashion it out of my attitude toward God and my attitude toward other people. When one worrying or impatient thought enters my mind, I will put it out at once. I know that love and trust are the solvents for the worry and frets of life. I will use them to form a protective screen around me. Prayer for the Day I pray that frets and impatience and worry may not corrode my protective screen against all evil thoughts. I pray that I may banish all these from my life.”
