A Wave

“It became obvious to me that I had received a Gift - The Gift of Desperation.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Today's Gift

Hazelden Foundation

“In the darkness of each morning, the bird outside the window begins to sing. Soon the eastern sky turns pink. The bird continues singing until the first yellow rays warm its soft wings. Then it flies away. not returning until the next morning. Like the bird, we can start by singing a song to celebrate the new day. Like the bird's faith in the sunrise, we need only have faith that God meant each day to enrich our lives, to warm our hearts and shed His Light on our actions. *Today, I turn to You, God, to celebrate my faith!!”

A Deep Breath of Life

Alan Cohen

“The key to abundance is to get our priorities in order. Prosperity begins with a state of mind, not a bankbook figure. It’s a great idea to ask, ‘What would I love to do?’ and ‘How can I serve?’ As we forget about our bankbook balance, we return to balance with the universe; the bankbook will come along well enough. *Today, help me to remember that all the riches of the universe are within me; that as I live from love, the universe responds abundantly.”

Twenty Four Hours a Day

Hazelden Foundation

Meditation for the Day “In this time of quiet meditation, follow the pressure of the Lord's leading. In all decisions to be made today, yield to the gentle pressure of your conscience. Stay or go as that pressure indicates. Take the events of today as part of God's planning and ordering. He may lead you to the right decision. Wait quietly until you have an inner urge, a leading, a feeling that a thing is right, a pressure on your will by the spirit of God. Prayer for the Day *I pray that today I may try to follow the inner pressure of God's leading. I pray that I may try to follow my conscience and do what seems right today.”
