“I thought I had to plan, manage, and make everything happen.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Today's Gift: Daily Meditations for Families

Leo Buscaglia / Hazelden

”Love is always open arms.” ~Leo Buscaglia “Have we found it in our hearts to approve whatever a loved one does, even if we have wanted something different? Can we find joy in others no matter what? Love like this is the highest kind of love; it recognizes the freedom of those we love. We don’t have to chain others to our own wants. Instead, we can let go of our demands & expectations to offer the same kind of love God has for us. Today, God, I ask for help to let go, to open my arms to Your love.”

A Deep Breath of Life

Alan Cohen

“Today, we take a step back to let God open the doors for us. This does not mean that we do nothing. We trust that if a result is to come through our efforts, Spirit will tell us & guide us what to do. We do not need to struggle or manipulate for our own good. As we let go, we will be inspired by intuitive thought. Today, I turn my work, my relationships, and my life over to You to guide, knowing that Your love and wisdom will prosper me in wondrous ways.

Meditation for the Day

Unknown

“Love and fear cannot dwell together. By their very natures, they cannot exist side by side. Fear is a very strong force. And therefore a weak and vacillating love can soon be routed by fear. But a strong love, a love that trusts in God, is sure to conquer fear. The only sure way to dispel fear is to have the love of God more and more in your heart and soul. Prayer for the Day I pray that love will drive out the fear in my life. I pray that my fear will flee before the power of the love of God.”
