A Wave

December 2, 2025 · thailand

“For a guy who had no concept or skill at letting go, thank you for a new toolkit, for people, and for a relationship with a Power greater than myself to live, not manage, my life.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

A Deep Breath of Life

Alan Cohen

“As I approached the departure area of an airport undergoing remodeling, I saw a sign that grabbed my attention: Terminal Improvements. Although the sign referred to the construction, I laughed at its double meaning. Endless self-fixing is a detour from the spiritual path. Seminars, books, psychic and astrological readings, trainings, techniques, and practices can be extremely helpful, but they can also be a means to hide from living life where you are. At some point, we must admit that we have amassed all the data we need; it’s time to get on with applying what we have learned. Today, I am ready to get on with living. Let me reflect the highest truth simply by living what I know, and being who I am; to go beyond words and to show YOUR Love through action.”

A Life of My Own: Meditations on Hope and Acceptance

Hazelden Foundation

“The Serenity Prayer, when relied on, changes the very nature of our lives. Control robs us of serenity. There is much we cannot change; yet our stubbornness leaves us frustrated, depressed, and in near constant conflict. What can we do; where do we turn? There is an easy solution! It's the first prayer we heard in a Twelve Step meeting. We ask God for the wisdom to help us change only what is ours to change; then we can accept all the rest. Wisdom will come. And so will the serenity we seek.. Today, God, grant me serenity, wisdom and acceptance in all of my affairs, so I may fulfill Your will in my life.”

Prayer for the Day

Hazelden Foundation

“I pray that I may strive to be the kind of a person that God would have me be. I pray that I may try to fulfill God's vision of what I could be.”
