A Wave

September 22, 2025 · white mountains

“In discussion with my sponsor Dave, we talked about the human conditions that block our ability to change; that block our transition into each new day with a deeper love and gratitude.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

The Art of Letting Go

May Sarton

When I think of changes, I think of the trees in the Fall, how simply they let go and welcome the riches of a new season; how, without grief, they can let go and go deep into their roots for renewal and sleep. Each season brings changes, and the trees change with each season. Whether we know it or not, we are like the trees; but our pride hangs on to a false sense of self; our fears want to hold on to everything. We refuse to follow advice, or change with each season in our lives. Today, I will open to the changing season in my own life; to ask and trust my Higher Power each day, as a new season evolves.

A Deep Breath of Life

Alan Cohen

When we sleep at night, the static of the conscious mind is stilled, and Spirit is able to speak to us through symbols, imparting what we are unable to access during our daily activities. An entire world of blessing is available to us in our dreams. Before going to sleep, prepare yourself to receive the richest gifts in your dream world. Take some time to read uplifting material, listen to gentle music, or meditate before retiring. Our dreams are inspirational; we prepare to fall asleep in peace, and let God bring us love, guidance, and confidence.

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Hazelden Foundation

Meditation for the Day There is joy in living the spiritual life. A faith without joy is not entirely genuine. If you are not happier as a result of your faith, there is probably something wrong with it. Faith in God brings a deep feeling of happiness & security, no matter what happens on the surface of life. Each new day is another opportunity to serve God and improve your relationships with other people. This will bring joy, and allow abundance in ever widening circles. Prayer for the Day I pray that my horizons may grow ever wider. I pray that I may keep reaching inward to expand my spiritual connection; outward for more service, purpose & companionship.
