A Wave

“When I walked into the rooms, I didn’t know I was an addict or alcoholic.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

A Deep Breath of Life

Alan Cohen

“A popular slogan reminds us, "Friends don't let friends drive drunk." Neither do friends sit back idly if their friends are about to drive over a cliff. If we’re aware of a truth that we believe friends would benefit by knowing, it is our responsibility to tell them. We don’t have to argue, justify or force our opinion. We simply state the situation as we see it; then allow others to do as they wish. Just for today, God, give me confidence to speak the truth I see it. May my words serve to bless me and all of those who receive it.”

CENTERING OUR THOUGHTS

Daily Reflections

“Today, help me to center my thoughts on a Higher Power. Help me continue to surrender to This Power within me; to allow a wave of spiritual union to connect me through gratitude, obedience and discipline to my faith. Today, let me allow Your Power to lead me, and to strengthen my words & deeds. May I know that the message I carry is mine to share, given freely by This Power greater than myself.”

Meditation for the Day

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

“The grace of God cures disharmony and disorder in human relationships. As we put our affairs, with their confusion and difficulties, into God's hands. He begins to effect a cure of all the disharmony and disorder. Help me to have faith that God will do all that is necessary, as I continue to submit to His treatment, even when I cannot see the meaning or purpose of it. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may willingly submit to whatever spiritual discipline is necessary; to accept whatever it takes to live a better life.”
