A Wave

August 19, 2025

“the gift of willingness is enough for a start into the journey of getting well”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Read — the readings that opened the day

1

A Deep Breath of Life

Alan Cohen

“We may have all kinds of material comforts, but if our spirit is not at peace, we are homeless. Keep moving, step by step, day by day, and miracles will meet you to take you to the other side. Today, I ask You, God, for Your loving care; to walk forward in faith and trust; to embrace a deeper sense of gratitude for my New Life.”

2

We Agnostics, p. 55

Alcoholics Anonymous

“Sometimes we had to search fearlessly, but He was there. He was as much a fact as we were. We found the Great Reality deep down within us. In the last analysis it is only there that He may be found. It was so with us.”

Meditation for the Day

Hazelden Foundation

“Worship is consciousness of God's divine majesty. As you pause to worship, God will help you to raise your humanity to His divinity. The earth is a material temple to enclose God's Divinity. God brings to those who worship Him a Divine Power, a Divine Love, and a Divine healing. You only have to open your mind to Him and try to absorb some of His Divine Spirit. Pausing quietly in the spirit of worship, turn your inward thoughts upward and realize that His Divine Power may be yours, that you can experience His love and healing. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may worship God by sensing the eternal Spirit. I pray that I may experience a new Power in my life.”
