A Wave

August 15, 2025

“When I walked in, I had been living in Hell, so dark I couldn’t find my way out.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Daily Meditations

Richard Rohr

“God doesn’t play favorites. All human beings are on the same level, whatever their religious background. All violate their own conscience, all fall short of God’s glory, all break God’s laws. None can claim an inside track with God just because they have mastered a body of religious knowledge, avoided a list of proscribed behaviors, or identified themselves with a certain label. There is no us versus them, no elite insiders and excluded outsiders. There’s just all of us, human beings united in our need of God’s grace. Today, God, open my heart to Your Divine Presence, to step in from the outside to Your help, unseen—but real. ”

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Meditation for the Day “There is almost no work in life so hard as waiting. Yet God wants us to wait. All motion seems easier than calm waiting; yet, we must wait until God shows us His will. So many people have marred their work and hindered the growth of their spiritual lives by too much activity. If we wait patiently, preparing ourselves always, we will, someday, be at the place where we are supposed to be. More toil & activity could not have accomplished our journey earlier. Prayer for the Day Today, God, let me wait patiently for Your guidance in all of my activities; that I may place my trust in You, and keep preparing myself for a better life.”
