“Somehow, you showed me a better way to truly have a better life”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Keep it Simple

“We get in trouble if we try to run our own lives. Our ego starts to mess things up. What we are asked to do is to let the care of our Higher Power to run our life. We use “care” as a guide because care is what a Higher Power is all about. As we put care into action, we get healing, love and a new confidence as a result. Today, I surrender to Your loving care and ask for direction and guidance.

Faithful to the Journey

Richard Rohr

“If we believe God is angry in the way that humans are, then it’s too easy for us to end up being angry “without limit.” In fact, if we believe the Creator is always critiquing, judging, and punishing everything, it should be no surprise that our lives are bathed in rage and resentment. If this is much of our experience today, some form of projection of our anger onto others is at the heart of our unrest. It's at the center of a belief that encourages punitive or emotionally withholding love. Someone, or Something must show us the way through. Crying teaches us to let go of the emotion instead of projecting it elsewhere. Letting go is a practice, inviting us to a richer, fuller & more beautiful life.”

Awakening

Anthony De Mello

“A disciple asked, “Who is a master?” The Master replied, “Anyone to whom it is given to let go of the ego. Such a person's life is then a masterpiece.”
