A Wave

“Each day IS a new beginning in the adventure of living and learning how to handle the ups, downs and crazy twists in life.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Daily Meditations for Military Service Members & Veterans in Recovery

“When I was drinking & using, I became willing to do anything to get the next one. Getting loaded was my only coping skill, and even that had lost its effect. Coming into recovery, I was scared, ashamed, lost, but felt I had nothing left to lose. I became willing to do whatever it took to become the person I was truly meant to be. Now that I have put some time together, I see the value in practicing recovery principles in every area of my life. It’s the true path to freedom & a full life. Today I will allow the seed of willingness to take root in my life. For my recovery to blossom, I must practice recovery principles in every area of my life.”

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Meditation for the Day Today, I will take time to be grateful for all the blessings I received. Remembering that we could do little by ourselves, gratitude to God will make us humble. We must rely largely on God's grace in helping ourselves and others. People do not care much for those who are smug & self-satisfied, nor those who gossip and criticize. With deep gratitude to God, just for today, may I walk in true humility and be effective in demonstrating His love. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may walk humbly with God and pray to rely on His grace to carry me through.
