A Wave

March 10, 2025 · london

“Lost, confused, misunderstood, I stumbled, like Paddington, into the rooms of recovery.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

The Threat of Unconditional Love

Richard Rohr

“God forgives undeservedly, even after direct disobedience! This is The Love that waits and hopes and is calling us to walk forward. As we learn to open to surrender & trust, we are given new life. We cannot accomplish this perfectly or by ourselves. Only God can fill in all the gaps. Henceforth, there is no such thing as deserving or earning anything. All is Grace. Our refusal to allow ourselves to be loved undeservedly & unconditionally has been the anguish of every prophet and the burden of every mystic or saint. Love awaits us.”

There Is A Solution

“The great fact is just this, and nothing less: That we have had deep and effective spiritual experiences* which have revolutionized our whole attitude toward life, toward our fellows and toward God’s universe. The central fact of our lives today is the absolute certainty that our Creator has entered into our hearts and lives in a way which is indeed miraculous. He has commenced to accomplish those things for us which we could never do by ourselves.” *There Is A Solution, p. 25 *Fully explained—Appendix II.

A Deep Breath of Life

Alan Cohen

“The key ingredient for success is enthusiasm. You can have a wealth of skills, but if your heart is not fully present, you will feel unfulfilled, and your work will reflect it. The word enthusiasm comes from the Latin de Teos, meaning “from God.” We dishonor ourselves and others by staying in positions out of familiarity or obligation. If you tolerate boredom or compromise, the universe will fire you so you can be in your right place where you can really be fired. Whenever you are enthusiastic about something, no matter what it is, you are in God. If it is not a “Hell, yes!, ” it is a “No. ” Today, God, I ask for the courage to live from enthusiasm and not fear; to allow the universe to fulfill my heart and everyone I affect.”

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Meditation for the Day “My five senses are my means of communication with the material world. They are the links between my physical life and the material manifestations around me. But I must sever all connections with the material world when I wish to hold communion with the Great Spirit of the universe. I have to hush my mind and bid all my senses be still, before I can become attuned to receive the music of the heavenly spheres. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may get my spirit in tune with the Spirit of the universe. I pray that through faith and communion with Him I may receive the strength I need.”
