Ride the WavesReflections by Steve L.

A Wave

February 20, 2025

“My book says I’m driven by a hundred of forms of self-delusion, self-pity and self-seeking.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Welcoming and Working with Doubt

The five hindrances—sense desire, ill will, dullness, restlessness & doubt—are states of mind that hinder our clear-seeing & our emotional stability. With the hindrance of doubt, we are overcome with uncertainty. The mind can become obsessive in its pursuit of insight. The inclination to know rests deeply in my bones. Clear-seeing is not a constant state. We awaken continually. Cultivating emotional stability requires a willingness to look & look again. My patterns are going to show up. When they do, I can welcome them in. Behind every disturbance there IS a Power waiting to be discovered.

The Dalai Lama Book of Quotes

Travis Hellstrom

we must respond in a spirit of humility, recognizing not only the limits of our knowledge (both collective and personal) but also our vulnerability to being misguided in the context of such a rapidly changing reality.

Twenty-Four Hours A Day

Meditation for the Day I can depend on God to supply me with all the power I need to face any situation, provided that I will sincerely believe in that power and honestly ask for it, at the same time making all my life conform to what I believe God wants me to be. I can come to God as a business manager would come to the owner of the business, knowing that to lay the matter before Him means immediate cooperation, providing the matter has merit. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may believe that God is ready and willing to supply me with all that I need. I pray that I may ask only for faith and strength to meet any situation.
