A Wave

February 14, 2025

“Thank you God for leading me to the mystical land & adventure of LOVE; may Your Love continue all through the day with everyone I meet.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Read — the readings that opened the day

1

The Prophet

Khalil Gibran

“When love beckons to you, follow him, Though his ways are hard and steep. Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself. Love possesses not nor would it be possessed; For love is sufficient unto love.”

A Deep Breath of Life

Alan Cohen

“Be a true valentine by reminding your beloved ones that they are unlimited. Inspire them to trust their heart’s wisdom, and miracles will occur. And if you are your own valentine, remember that all the love you need is within you, just as you are, right where you are. I pray to remind my loved ones of their highest possibilities. Today, let me be a part of creating miracles by using the vision of Your divine love.”

Just Love Them

Vanessa Zuisei Goddard

“The Karaniya Metta Sutta (The Discourse on Loving-kindness) describes a person who has chosen to be free rather than to be right— one of the most difficult & most profound shifts any of us will ever make. ‘Let them be able and upright, Straightforward and gentle in speech, Humble and not conceited, Contented and easily satisfied, Unburdened with duties and frugal in their ways. Peaceful and calm and wise and skillful, Not proud or demanding in nature.’”

Thought for the Day

Hazelden Foundation

Thought for the Day “The love we show each other and the love of our Higher Power help nurse us back to health. Love is the bridge that makes us willing to face the truth. Recovery offers us a path to cross this bridge and to find the truths that will set us free. Prayer for the Day Higher Power, You are both truth and love. Help me to see You in all of the challenges of my day.”

Meditation for the Day

Hazelden Foundation

Meditation for the Day “I must keep a time apart with God every day. Gradually I will be transformed mentally and spiritually. It is not the praying so much as just being in God's presence. The strengthening and curative powers of this I cannot understand because such knowledge is beyond human understanding, but I can experience them. The poor, sick world would be cured if every day each soul waited before God for the inspiration to live aright. My greatest spiritual growth occurs in this time apart with God. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may faithfully keep a quiet time apart with God. I pray that I may grow spiritually each day.
