A Wave

December 12, 2024

“As I keep learning to let go of my plans & designs, the unnatural happens.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Easy Does It Daily Meditations

Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation

Our escape from disaster, our experience gives strength and hope. When we share our stories, others listen & realize, "That’s me. I was that way. I did all those same things." In return, we feel needed, trusted, and loved. We come to know that we can help others experience miracles. Our negative experiences become positive forces in helping others on the road to recovery. Thank You for delivering me to the doors of recovery; to experience happiness, fulfillment & Love sharing experiences that brought me to my despair.

A Year with Rumi

Coleman Barks

Pay attention to those who want to change so badly that they cry and dissolve into lovingkindness and freedom.

3

A Year with Thomas Merton

Thomas Merton

I give myself completely to God. He draws me more and more to that. I cannot know what lies ahead for me, for us, but more and more I realize God wants me to put myself in His hands, and let Him take me through the things that are to come, and I must learn to trust Him without fear, or questions, or hesitations, or withdrawal.

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Hazelden Foundation

Meditation for the Day “Love and fear cannot dwell together. By their very natures, they cannot exist side by side. Fear is a very strong force. And therefore a weak and vacillating love can soon be routed by fear. But a strong love, a love that trusts in God, is sure to eventually conquer fear. The only sure way to dispel fear is to have the love of God more and more in your heart and soul. Prayer for the Day I pray that love will drive out the fear in my life. I pray that my fear will flee before the power of the love of God.”
