Yesterday morning, having coffee, I sat and thought about the day ahead. I got stressed. How is it all going to get done? I said thank you for the day, and, God, show me what to do next. I want to go with the flow, not get in the way.
We drove to the Adobe for birthday celebrations for Walter & David.
We gave Bertha flowers as a thank you. The celebration was very special; Walter was 92, David was 60, and June had put together little gift bags for everyone. The memories of my parents filled my heart. When they brought the cake out, everyone was surprised. I got quiet and said thank you for letting me be a part of more wonderful occasions. We all left, hearts full of love & gratitude.
“Why me” is a blessing now, instead of a cry of a victim.
Gail and I headed out to walk the canals again. What had I stressed out for? Here we are walking, laughing, sending texts to friends, and grateful for another day filled with love & purpose. Thanks for helping me learn to take it easy; and for all the blessings and a new life built out of surrender, purpose and gratitude.
