A Wave

“Where else can I go to be inspired, return home & wake up the next morning with no regrets, strangers, or credit card debt?!”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Truth Beyond Literalism

Richard Rohr Daily Meditations

I believe that Scripture has the power to introduce us to the Creator and tell us what God is like. I open my heart to hear the Truth; to be patient and humble. I am a learner, not a scholar intellectually trying to understand everything. Today, while reading a favorite chapter or verse, listen to your gut and let your tears run. Seek the resonance at the base of the story. The seeking is the point. It is there, in all our wandering, where God truly is.

In quiet I find the God within me.

Alan Cohen

A Course in Miracles explains that the fear to look within is not a fear of the darkness, but a fear of the light. If we stopped running, we would have to confront the things that frighten us; that is wonderful, for on the other side of the shadow is the light. If you look deeply, you will not find a demon, but God. Today, help me slow down enough to know Your presence; to be still and touch the Peace You give.

Meditation for the Day

Hazelden Foundation

I will sometimes go aside into a quiet place of retreat with God. In that place, I will find restoration and healing and power. I will plan quiet times now and then, times when I will commune with God and arise rested and refreshed to carry on the work which God has given me to do. I know that God will never give me a load greater than I can bear. It is in serenity and peace that all true success lies. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may strengthen my inner life, so that I may find serenity. I pray that my soul may be restored to quietness and peace.
