“Honey, let’s trust the process.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Practicing Gratitude

Richard Rohr

Turning our thoughts toward our faith, what parts of faith are easy to overlook? Perhaps it’s a prayer we’ve said over and over, or a phrase we’ve heard so many times we really don’t pay attention to the words anymore. Maybe it’s a routine? Today, I give thanks to Almighty God, who creates all that is and all that we possess; for Your holiness, and for gratitude for even the ordinary and routine.

The Serious Call of William Law

William Law

Though GOD is present everywhere, He is only present to us in the deepest and the most central part of our soul. The natural senses cannot possess God, or unite us to Him. Our inward faculties of understanding, will and memory can only reach after God, but cannot be the place of his habitation in us. But there is a root or depth of Him from whence all these faculties come forth, as branches from the body of the tree. This depth is called the centre or bottom of the soul. This depth is the unity, the eternity of our souls. It is so infinite that nothing but the infinity of God can satisfy it or give it rest.

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Hazelden Foundation

Meditation for the Day First, we are gathered together, bound by a common loyalty to God and to each other. Then, when this condition has been fulfilled, God is present with us. Then, when God is there and one with us, we voice a common prayer. Then it follows that our prayer will be answered according to God's will. Then, when our prayer is answered, we are bound together in a lasting fellowship of the spirit. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may be loyal to God and to others. I pray that my life today may be lived close to His and to theirs.
