A Wave

September 28, 2025 · Pinetop Lakes CC

“Who woulda thought picking up a 24 Hour Recovery Chip, broken, lost & damaged, seemingly beyond repair, would put me, and countless others I’ve met, back into the Parade of Life!”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Days of Healing, Days of Joy: Daily Meditations

Hazelden Foundation

“Life that is truly exciting and fascinating. Each day, there will be the hero and the goat, there will be disappointment and reason for wild celebration, there will be the beautiful & the horrible. The task is to be present in our own lives, to get our heads out of others' reality, and to find the enormous meaning & vitality of our own. The soap opera is not out there; it is right here with us. Life is within each of us; life is all around us. Life is precious. Today, I give thanks for the preciousness of life, and not take my life for granted.”

A Deep Breath of Life

Alan Cohen

“Psychologists note that one of the clearest symptoms of psychosis is an absence of a sense of humor; when we lose our ability to laugh, we go a little crazy. To see the humor in a situation is to find a divine viewing point. Cultivate laughter as a way of life. Laugh often and deeply; it’s the best therapy. Just for today, God, help me to Help me lighten my life with celebration and play; To keep my sense of humor; to remember that nothing is too important, and to learn to laugh at life and myself.”

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Meditation for the Day “We need to accept the difficulties and disciplines of life so as to fully share many of the experiences in order to understand and sympathize with others. Unless we have been through the same experiences, we cannot understand other people, or their makeup well enough to be able to help them. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may accept everything, all of the good and the seemingly bad, that comes my way, as part of this mystery called life. I pray that I may make use of it all, including my journey to freedom, in helping other people.”
