“Haven, what a great word.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Richard Rohr Daily Meditations

Richard Rohr

“Sustained contact with our Inner Source allows us to become living examples of true, humble, and confident power. This Source of power has to be good, loving, and empowering; not something that is the result of our ambition or greed. A truly spiritual, whole and holy individual is a very powerful person. If we don’t embrace and name the Source of power, we will be content with the bad. Today, I’ll take time to connect with my true source of power; to give thanks for the gifts of love, grace and forgiveness and to practice those gifts in my own life.”

Touchstones Daily Meditations

“Our Higher Power speaks to us in a quiet, subtle voice, which can easily be ignored until we learn to listen. It takes courage to listen to this inner voice. When we listen, we develop a relationship that is a strong force moving us into recovery. We are still powerless over many things, but we can make active choices in how we will grow and how we will respond. Today, help me listen to & be guided in my thoughts & actions by my Inner Voice.”

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Meditation for the Day “Human beings, in their troubles and difficulties, need nothing so much as a refuge, a place to relax where they can lay down their burdens and get relief. Say to yourself: ‘God is my refuge.’ Repeat it until its truth sinks into your very soul. Say it until you know it and are sure of it. If God is truly your refuge nothing can seriously upset you or make you afraid. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may go to God as a refuge until my fear goes; until a new peace & security come. I pray that I may feel deeply secure in the Haven of His spirit.”
