A Wave

June 30, 2025

“Today, my design for living is not only meetings & fellowship, but studying & sharing religious and spiritual material.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

The Liberation Journey

Richard Rohr

“Fourteen hundred years before Jesus, Moses hears God from the burning bush, where he is called to confront the pharaoh and tell him to ‘let his people go.’ It does not tell him to go to a temple or to build one. We all have a need for an inner God-experience to perform our outer work for justice and truth. When our prayer is authentic, it will always lead to actions of mercy; also, when actions of mercy are attempted at any depth, they will always lead us to prayer. We often find ourselves perplexed on where to go, what to do. This connection is desperately needed, and yet resented and avoided to this day. We will always & forever need the prophets, or else most religion worships itself instead of God. The pattern is persistent.”

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Meditation for the Day “The past is over and gone. I must not carry the burden of my past failures. I must go on in faith. The clouds will clear and the way will lighten. God has no reproach for anything that He has healed. I can be made whole and free, even though I have wrecked my life in the past. I might add that the future is unknown, a mystery. Today, help me to place both the past & future in YOUR hands, that I may connect and function effectively. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may not carry the burden of the past, or the worries of the future. I pray that I may cast them off, and place my trust in Him as I move forward today in faith.”
