A Wave

May 11, 2025

“I tried so hard to manage things, and for awhile, it looked like I was headed to the top!”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

Richard Rohr's Daily Meditations

Richard Rohr

“Imaging God as male is valuable and good for our spiritual selves. But left unbalanced, a belief in a God who is exclusively male can lead us down a road of legalism, perfectionism, fear, self-criticism, and a plaguing sense of unworthiness. Sadly, many of our experiences have been marked by such things. On the other hand, when we integrate the divine feminine into our understanding of God, we find we have an easier time internalizing compassion, inclusivity, radical acceptance, justice for the outcast, and unconditional love. The strong, soft light of the Divine Feminine is available for us all to touch upon.”

“God is the only power, . . . conditions do not matter when we pray; . . . time and space and matter are human illusions; . . . there is a solution to every problem; . . . man is the child of God, and God is perfect good.”

The Dragon Doesn't Live Here Anymore

Alan Cohen

“Everything we do has our flavor in it. Your essence is the unique dimension you add to any act you express. It is the special energy that you came to deliver to the world. Just as no two snowflakes or fingerprints are alike, every individual has a uniquely beautiful contribution to offer. Never shrink from expressing yourself. Your perspective is the one that will carry you. Follow your unique instincts, and you will be uniquely successful. Today, God, help me know You, to honor the uniqueness in which You created me. Confident in Your gifts, let me shine my own light & bring quality to life through my individuality.”
