A Wave

“But as alcoholics and/or addicts, our reactions are often extreme.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

The Fruits of Mindfulness in a Spiritual Life

Find God in the Silence Even in the busiest schedules, brief moments of silence can transform our day. Whether through a short prayer, a pause to admire nature, or simply closing your eyes and breathing deeply, silence is where God speaks. These pauses help to re-center ourselves in His presence. Practice Gratitude in Real Time Gratitude brings us into the present moment. Throughout the day, consciously acknowledge the blessings around you—the warmth of the sun, the kindness of a stranger, the beauty of a smile. These moments of gratitude are encounters with God’s love. End the Day in Reflection At night, take a few moments to reflect on the day. Where did you feel most connected to God? Where did you miss an opportunity for love? This is not to judge yourself harshly but to learn and grow in unity with Him.

She Recovers Every Day: Meditations for Women

Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation

“Recovering out loud might mean you tell just one person that you are in recovery from suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, or substance use. When somebody around you is talking about a personal struggle or something a family member is going through, you turn to them and say, "I have some personal experience with that. Do you mind if I share?" When you do share in this way, you will be helping one another and also helping to eliminate stigma.”

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

God is the great interpreter of one human personality to another. Even personalities who are the nearest together have much in their natures that remains a sealed book to each other. And only as God enters and controls their lives are the mysteries of each revealed to the other. Each personality is so different. God alone understands perfectly the language of each and can interpret between the two. Here we find the miracles of change and the true interpretation of life. I pray that I may be in the right relationship to God. I pray that God will interpret to me the personalities of other people, so that I can understand them and help them.
