A Wave

February 11, 2025

“The waiting is the hardest part; like surfing, prepare, get on the board, paddle; then trust and wait for the wave.”

Three readings. A song that says the rest. And inspiration for whatever this day is here to teach.

A Deep Breath of Life

Alan Cohen

“Success and extraordinary beauty are born of leaps of faith. When our heart is intent on living our dream, we will gladly let go of everything that is unlike the dream in order to manifest our vision. Today, God, through Your Love, give me the knowledge of my worthiness, and the courage to live in faith; to give it all and to have all Your love offers.”

Sacred Space

Everything has the potential to draw forth from me a fuller love and life. Yet my desires are often fixed, caught on illusions of fulfillment. I ask that God, through my freedom, may orchestrate my desires in a vibrant loving melody rich in harmony.

A Mystics Heart

Richard Rohr

“A mystic is someone who skips over the intermediaries (ordained clergy, prescribed prayers, rigid belief systems) and goes straight to God. Mysticism is not about concepts; it is about communion with the ultimate reality; It shines through the cracks of our daily struggles and sings from the core of our deepest desires. Mysticism is a way of seeing—beyond the turmoil, the rights and wrongs, the good guys and villains—of God’s true Divine Love deep in the heart of every human being.”

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Meditation for the Day “There is almost no work in life so hard as waiting. And yet God wants me to wait. All motion is easier than calm waiting, and yet I must wait until God shows me His will. So many people have marred their work and hindered the growth of their spiritual lives by too much activity. If I wait patiently, preparing myself always, I will be some day at the place where I would be. And much toil and activity could not have accomplished the journey so soon. Prayer for the Day I pray that I may wait patiently. I pray that I may trust God and keep preparing myself for a better life.”
