“My apologies for the delay, I am travelling in Europe and 9 hours behind.”

Around the Year with Emmet Fox

Emmet Fox

God creates by “letting.” God said “let,” at every act of creation, and it was done. Now God creates by means of you if you will let him, but you must let. Someone said, “Let go and let God,” and this is a wonderful recipe for overcoming fear or getting out of a tight place. In any case, the rule for creation is always to let.

God Calling

A. J. Russell

That voiceless cry that comes from anguished hearts is heard above all the music of Heaven. It is not the arguments of theologians that solve the problems of a questioning heart, but the cry of that heart to Me, and the certainty that I have heard.

Twenty Four Hours a Day

Anonymous

You must admit your helplessness before your prayer for help will be heard by God. Your own need must be recognized before you can ask God for the strength to meet need. But once that need is recognized, your prayer is heard above all the music of heaven. It is not theological arguments that solve the problems of the questing soul, but the sincere cry of that soul to God for strength and the certainty of that soul that the cry will be heard and answered.

365 Science of Mind

Ernest Holmes

There is no fear in love, and there is no liberation from fear without love. Fear is always based on the supposition that we are unprotected, rejected, friendless. If the fearful mind would entertain love, and the harmony and peace that go with it, it must turn from everything that denies this love and, trusting in Divine Guidance, open its being to the influx of love—not just love of God, but love of everything, for love is an all-inclusive conception.

A Year with Rumi

Coleman Barks

We feel the call of presence, and the journey changes. The mountain feels level under us. Love becomes agile and quick, and suddenly we are there. This traveling is not done with the body. God’s secret takes form in our loving.

Today’s Gift adapted from A Day at a Time

Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation

Reflection of the Day The more I work my program, the more I understand the value of the program. Have I taken an inventory of myself as suggested in the Twelve Steps? Have I admitted my faults to myself, to my Higher Power, and to another human being? Today I Pray Reflection of the Day May I not be stalled in my recovery process by the enormity of the program's Fourth Step - taking a moral inventory of myself - or by admitting these shortcomings to myself, to my Higher Power, and to another human being. May I know that honesty to myself about myself is all‑important. Today I Will Remember I cannot mend if I bend the truth.
